Blog Pooper

Although I have begun blogging regularly only recently, I read blogs of a broad spectrum [work, leisure, diaries etc] with voracious interest. There is a certain blogger's meanderings I got hooked onto 6 months or so ago, mainly because she is also a writer, about my age- yeah, the commonalities end there. She lives on the other side of the Indian border, and I was surprised to note that the ethos around both countries is still the same even after so many years of war and neck-breaking at the cricket-pitch. She mainly, and mostly rants, with some few sparks of joy and hope which flicker brightly for a post or two and are promptly sooted with sadness. I didn't quite mind it, since she spoke [note the reference to past tense here] her mind, teasing the readers often with her unrevealed identity. She boasted of her popularity on some posts, amusing me further. But then this happened --

"I don’t want my blog to be popular anymore"
Blasphemy in Bloggy-world
"about the password thing…..hit me an email for a reply with the password. pls dont mind if u dont get all of them though. as i mentioned earlier - there are some which i like to keep for myself only."
Snooty Boots! If you want to keep the stuff to yourself then get yourself a journal! We [speaking for all the other readers] care only for my entertainment. Your ranting is supposed to give me solace that someone else's life sucks more than mine. If I want to read movie reviews there are 'expert opinion' available elsewhere.
"it’s no longer flattering to learn how this blog has been entertaining many (silent) readers out there - in fact, it has become freaky."
Dude, you need your head examined if you think every person who drops by your blog will leave a comment.

"...contemplating to pull the plug off my blog"Someone suggested "...go for a cyber suicide""I don’t do suicide ideas – virtual or otherwise. Case closed.

"...there is no way in blog hell I will ever kill my blogging."

Looks like a case of 'want to eat her cake and keep it too.'
"As much as it would make great blog reading, I’m not going to indulge in the details – one, coz I just don’t have the temperament to do a re-run of all the unpleasantness, and two…..I no longer fancy others having a peek into the little details of my existence."
You don't wish to entertain me? Fine, I am going somewhere else! Another blog hit the 'Unsubscribe' button.
