Confidential Mail

Today a colleague of mine who sits next to me [although we don't really talk to each other], sent me an email with Subject Line: Confidential. Without any doubt my curiosity was whetted and my hand blazingly sought the computer mouse and clicked on the mail. It said

Hi,
How can U catch a thief …? Some girl is troubling me from past 3 day giving me miss calls n sms Telling by accidently she has dialed my number Proposing for a friendship Can u suggest me something how can I catch her who is she I tried finding it out from my friends n relatives none of them have that number.

from the disposal, wiping it off

I dived into this opportunity to help a fellow human, especially with my expertise on ridding people within 2-3 contacts. I promptly replied to him

Hi,

Some people like to play pranks like these.
The best way to discourage the person from troubling you is to ignore, and not respond to sms or calls.
As long as you respond, the person assumes that you are interested, and it gives them courage to continue their mischief.
Once they realize they are just wasting their time n money, it will stop.

If this advice had been dispensed to a girl [actually, I don't think a girl would need help to know how to get rid of a pesk; we have are wired for such eliminating nuisance], she would have taken it well, and ignored the person. But this is a man, and men aren't used to following advise. And from the looks of the situation, he seemed to be enjoying the chase with undivided attention from the lady [this would boost any man's ego!].
So, he continues to take her calls and write back to her messages, expressing a bit of annoyance [lest she think he enjoys all of it].

Updated 19-Feb: The blooming and potential coupling has met its end. My colleague today wrote an update informing

Lastly I got free from that headache she herself stopped
When I proposed her on 14th Feb n started sending her Non veg sms
