Too late to turn back

Since all the excitement of discovering friend in same building where I grew up, things have swiftly happened. She is known to my mom, so I told mom about how cool it was; turns out mom is not too hopeful of me coming back. So she promptly asked me to give her friend's number and closed the deal of friend leasing the apartment :'(
But friend is really sweet, and I am a bully. So I have squirmed out a promise from her that I will crash at her place (technically) when I get to B'bay next time and the place shall be scrutinized critically by me. Of course, this is all in good spirit of a tenant/owner relationship ;)
She, in turn likes the place and I am sure it is in good hands; she will take good care of the house and give it the love I did.
Oooooh...now I am so looking forward to go to Mumbai! Zip zip zoom...
